4/19-4/20 Conference on Summer Learning

GAIC and the Center for Summer Learning are pleased to announce that Atlanta will host the Center for Summer Learning's National Conference, Celebrate Summer as a Season for Learning, April 19-20, 2007. Bringing together school administrators, program providers, policy makers and researchers, this is the only national conference that brings the issue of summer learning to the forefront. We encourage you and your colleagues to attend this year!

The Only National Conference Focused on Summer Learning

Celebrate Summer as a Season for Learning is a two-day conference that will challenge you to plan, support and advocate for high-quality summer programming in your community and nationwide. In Georgia, most young people have 9-10 weeks of "idle time" on their hands with little supervision and lack high-quality, engaging opportunities that help them to stay on track and succeed making this conference helpful to local efforts.

The following engaging sessions will be led by Georgia experts from the education and youth development fields.
